I’m tired. My sleep has been broken. I’ve been waking up in the night… Not because of a screaming infant (I don’t have one), but because of my dog. The pooch keeps getting up in the middle of the night. Here’s where I have to start digging deep to be grateful. Let’s do it.
I am thankful that he hasn’t done his business in the house, which means I haven’t had to clean up any messes. I am thankful that I am a light sleeper and hear/feel him jump off the bed (yes, he sleeps on my bed). And I’m thankful to get in a tiny bit of exercise in the middle of the night. It is 61 steps from my bed to the back door, including 2 flights of stairs. That’s 122 steps toward my daily goal of 10,000 steps a day. I’m talking about 1.2% complete by 2:58am. Yesssss.
